Here we are a few weeks into 2019! Students aren’t back on campus until Tuesday, so I’ve been  still spending time trying to get stuff done. I’m still working on that list of read alouds and still hope to begin the instructional videos to place on my Libguides. A lot of my energy is going into getting the We Are Kidlit Summer Reading List together.

While my blogging is still rather impromptu, I do think I have a few plans for this year. I have to give up all nonfiction/informational book reviews since I’m on the Sibert Committee. I’m going with the theme “Black Literacy” for February and am planning a series of posts during that time centered on all aspects of literacy as it relates to black youth. I’m sure my work planning for my upcoming class has me thinking along these lines.

This is a really short post, I have conference proposals to complete. Thinking about what I’m going to be doing on the blog has me thinking about what I have done. Here’s a little list of the most viewed posts and book reviews in 2018 and also since the blog began in 2006.
