It’s snowing Cookies!

Today is cookie baking day! Perfect timing because yesterday I received my copy of  The Christmas Cookie Club which I won  Burmudaonion’s and Booking Mama’s Virtual Cookie Swap! Thanks ladies for such a fun and easy way to build some holiday spirit!

In that spirit, I have to share my family’s Butterball Recipe. These are the one cookie that my mom always baked. Oh, there were a few others but these are hands down The Family Cookie. They are quick and easy to bake and I can guarantee that if you do make them, everyone will ask for this recipe!

BUTTERBALLS  preheat oven to 325

1 cup soft butter (YES, BUTTER!)

1 cup confectioners sugar

5 oz pecans

2 cups flour

Combine all ingredients in large mixing bow. Mix at low speed until dough forms and becomes lighter in color. Shape into balls. Place on ungrease cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Do not brown. Roll warm cookies in confectioners sugar.
