Information Literacy Summit 2007

Registration is now open!

Theme: “Working Together for Lifelong Learning”
Join us for the sixth annual Information Literacy Summit—bringing together librarians and others to share and learn. This year’s theme is “Working Together for Lifelong Learning.Keynote panel:  Panelists representing a variety of library types will discuss how we, the library community, can work together to maximize information literacy as it develops through and beyond school. Leslie Warren, Information Literacy Librarian at Moraine Valley Community College, will serve as moderator at all three locations in Illinois.

While researching some of the components of this summit (the who, the what) I found that Leslie Warren has developed an interesting Toolkit for Success which is aimed at developing 21st century information literacy skills in at risk students.  Her toolkit is online and free to use.  She also provides links to other colleges’ kits.
