September New Releases

I’m glad I’m able to post this in a more timely fashion than I have in the past few months! I have reviews to complete and post from last month! I’ve been commenting to some irl that it’s getting more challenging to locate new BIPOC releases, but this list does manage to look fairly healthy. I hear about areas of youth literature being oversaturated, fewer contracts for new authors, and several established authors writing for adults. What are you noticing?

Please, keep supporting our authors! Make sure Tracy Badua, Brandy Colbert, and Shafaq Khan are in your local library. Gift young readers with the new Marie Arnold, Angie Thomas, Clairibel Ortega, or Jamie Ho Huang. Use your socials tomorrow to post about Angeline Boulley, Erin Entrada Kelly, Pablo Leon, or Sarah Raughly’s newest.

We’ve come a long way, but we have to do all the things simply to hold on right now.
