14 February is as good a day of any to celebrate love. Can you help me show some love for creators who write for Black children? I maintain a list of Black authors here on the blog, but I don’t update it as often as I should. I could use your help with this. I know there are some obvious names missing, but I’m not going to find them without your eyes. Could you make sure your favorite Black authors are listed? Drop any missing names in the comment section. Here’s what I’m looking for.

• Black or African American
• Middle grade or YA author published in the US
• Published more than one book; others could be in progress
• Books can be fiction, non-fiction, comics, or graphic novels; format doesn’t matter
