My red kettle is half way there! I’ve collected $75 of the $150 I need. Can you donate just a few dollars to get closer to the goal? Remember, you can direct monies to whichever community you choose across the US.

BookWish is another great cause. They just sent this update on their services.
There’s now 2,000 Darfur refugees in Chadian camps learning English as a result of our work. We’ve posted new videos showing the English classes we’re supporting, which can be found @: http://www.bookwish.org/videos. Soon, we’ll be posting some photos showing portable solar lights we’ve been helping to design that are being field tested in the camps to meet the huge demand for learning. Also, we’ve added a $2 brick Library Builder @: http://www.bookwish.org/library-builder. It aallows people to donate $2 for a brick to help build a library in a Darfur refugee camp — 5,000 are needed to build a library. Bricks can be purchased in honor of, or in memory of, someone. Not sure if your blog would be an appropriate place for you to spread the word about the $2 brick campaign, but if you can, that would be most appreciated. Thanks again for your support. Happy Holidays.

Edi,
Will contribute to both causes. Look for a link to be shared at Color Online and BES, too.
Thanks,

Thanks, Susan! I’ve challenged myself to put something in the bucket whenever I see one at a store. I was really glad to read my own virtual bell and help out in that way as well. I may complain about my gig, but I’m blessed to have it!
