I’ll be reading Beacon Hill Boys by Ken Mochizuki soon. Mochizuki was interviewed over at Maw Books Blog and it was linked to diversity rocks and thats how I found it. It was a great interview so I decided to check out one of his books. Edi, what do you think of Flygirl so far?

I strongly considered Beacon Hill Boys but it not easy to get a copy. It was published in 2002 and Amazon isn’t even carrying new copies.
I’ve decided to give away the books on the reading list to students for this month. I think that’s a pretty good way to tie all three themes together! For 10 days, I’ll give away a middle school and a high school book!

It great that you considered how hard or easy it would be for young readers to get the book. Ever summer, we get a few students in looking for required books that are out of print. Having to explain what out of print is to a customer is not fun, especially when its required reading.
