I start out searching the ‘net for one thing, and find several others! I guess life is just like that. We have to keep ourselves ready for opportunities that may present themselves! So, in my somewhat misdirected search, I found a nice little webpage that has a plethera of opportunities for teens. Just to highlight a few
- The School for Ethics and Global Leadership is now accepting applications for the fall 2009 semester. Located in Washington, DC, the school is a selective, semester-long residential program for 32 intellectually motivated high school juniors from across the United States.
- The US Fulbright Program and mtvU are partnering to offer a fellowship opportunity to US college students. Up to four awards will be available to pursue projects around an aspect of international contemporary or popular music as a cultural force for expression.
- The CDC Disease Camp provides high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to take on the roles of disease detectives and learn how CDC safeguards the nation’s health.
- The Student Movement for Real Change is acceptig 15 college students for a global development internship in Manyaleti, South Africa.
