The 13^th Annual Etheridge Knight Youth Poetry Contest will be announced and awarded the evening of April 26, 2007 at the Indiana History Center. This Poetry Contest is open to Elementary thru High School students.

Also, as part of the 16^th Annual Ethridge Knight Festival of the Arts, Poet Martin Espada will be conducting a free poetry writing workshop for High School students (10:00am), on Thursday, April 26, at the Glendale Library Branch. He will also be reading to Indianapolis area Middle and High School students on Friday, April 27 (10:00am) at the Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet School’s auditorium.

To reserve your space for the workshop or reading, contact Rafael (rmendez@imcpl.org). Space for Thursday’s writing workshop is limited to 30 students. Friday’s reading will be open to quite a few more students.
